Dr. Andria Cogswell grew up on a dairy farm in Nova Scotia, Canada and it is no surprise that animals were a large part of her life. She was an active 4-H member, where she got her start in competitive riding.
Dr. Cogswell completed her undergraduate degree in Biology close to her hometown, at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. After a couple of years working with show horses, she returned to school and completed a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from York University in Toronto, Ontario. In 1996 she graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She went on to practice at 2 different mixed animal practices and then an all-equine practice. It was while working at the all equine practice that she began courses in Animal Chiropractic.
